Information in English

Here you will find basic information about the Generali Piros 85 2024 competition, we also help you with contact possibilities (email address) in English.

The rest of the website is only in Hungarian, even the registration system. Next year we will definitely have the whole website working in three languages (Hungarian, Romanian and English), even the registration system will be bilingual (Hungarian/English), but in 2023 we didn’t get to fix all that.

Of course, we guide you through the entry system step by step and answer any questions you may have about the competition.

Thanks for your understanding and patience!

Piros 85

Piros 85 is a mountain running competition, known to many foreign runners who have participated in it over the years.

Piros is red (the colour of the tourist marker along the route), 85 indicates the distance (the classic route, actually 87,86 km).

The start is in Budapest and the finish in neighbouring Budaörs, the competition route of course is not a direct one between the two cities. 🙂 It’s a really beautiful route, through the mountains (more like hills) around Budapest.

The date of the competition is 02. 11. 2024. on Saturday.

Further information

Generali Piros 85 2023 is UTMB Index Race (100K; 1/2: 50K; 1/4: 20K).

Finishers of Piros 85 (87.86 km) receive 4 ITRA points (1/2 2 points, 1/4 1 point)!

Of course they also get food. 🙂

If you cramp up on the course, you can ask for MERU Magnesium Oil at each checkpoint.

The checkpoints are waiting for you with lots of things to energise you, Piros 85 is legendary in this respect too.

Once in Finish, you can shower, even sleep there if you have a sleeping bag (there are mattresses in the school gym where the Finish is).

Isn’t included in the price the Saturday morning bus transfer from Finish to Start (i.e. you can leave e.g. your car – but also a change of clothes etc. – in Finish, runners are taken to the start point by bus).

More information to come.

The registration is on the versenynaptar.com page, the list of participants is also on our page (in alphabetical order), but the official one is also on the versenynaptar.com page, with start numbers for those who have a valid registration (i.e. have already paid).

The registration system is only in Hungarian (next year it will be in English too), but we will guide you, if you need help. So the first step is to register on the page (name, gender, date of birth, email address and password), after which you can already enter your profile for registration. There you also ask for the club you run (if you don’t have one, a space in the relevant box will suffice) and whether you are vegetarian or vegan.
